Tasbasi Cultural Center (Old Prison house- Church)

The Tasbasi district of Ordu is an urban SIT area, meaning it is protected from any alteration or construction.
The church is built in the east-west direction in a rectangular fashion. On the east, there is a large apsis and two smaller apses on the sides.
The main area of the church has been divided by two-rowed pillars into three naves. It is a building of basilica shape, all of which except the dome is made of cut stone and which has survived to present day.
It was built by the Greek inhabitants of the region in 1853. It is being used as Cultural Center since 10th April 2000.
