Old Bazaar Mosque and Bathhouses

Old Bazaar is the second area of habitation in Ordu and has a rectangular structure. It is believed to be constructed by Haciemirogullari in the year 1380.
In 1187, it was renovated by Huseyin Battal Pasa, the high official Qf Sebinkarahisar. The mosque, which was almost destroyed by earthquake, was renovated at the beginning of the century. Only the entrance door and portal remain from the original mosque. Its current minaret has been built in 1877 on the place of the original minaret and was renovated by the Museums Authority in 1994.
The window sills of the mosque are one of the finest examples of woodworking and are on display at the Ankara Ethnography Museum.
There are two bathhouses.
The large bathhouse: It is situated on the south side of the mosque. It is comprised of three sections of cold, warm and hot. The outside of the bathhouse is made of crude rock whereas the interior Is made of fine carved rock. A dome has been used as the ceiling < :over.
The small bathhouse: It is situated on the northeast side of the mosque. It is comprised of a single rectangular area and water tank. It is believed to be built in 15th -16th century.
